Cask days 2012. Served as gyparillo red ipa. Leafy, green hops, soft caramel malts. A good session beer. Solid malts, hoppy, but not too astringent, or too bitter. Tasty.

Bottle. Aroma is jammy and lightly spiky. Taste has a bit of the same, strawberry, malty, bitterness is toned down a bit. Alright

I’m trying out a new online liquor shop... not sold on it yet as I had to pay by furikomi which was a pain. Parallel 49 Ruby Tears 6% Northwest Red Ale A clear maroon red with a fizzy light beige head with a sweet citrus caramel aroma. Medium bodied, it’s malty caramel and west coast hops, it almost tastes heat damaged but I think it is just old hence me getting it on sale. Still good but probably better fresher though I was actually in the mood for something maltiness rather than hoppier... it actually brings me back to the early days of craft importing to Japan...
