Bottle at a tasting. Lots of malty aromas and flavours. Well balanced by bold hoppy bitterness and flavours though. Resiny, citrusy, grassy, caramel, toffee, toasted. Quite good.

Towering dense yellow head leaving lots of lace over fully hazy reddish-brown beer. Sweet-smelling hops, rosewater, marzipan, liquorice, cacaopowder, chocolate, mole sauce. Hoppy, metallic, citruspeel, but again a hint at chocoalte. Feels quite well bodied for its ABV. Well-carbonated, slick, even velvety. Strange beer, seems to be pulling in different directions at once.

Shared bottle at Lagorda, Barcelona with the RBESG guys on 10th July 2016. Slight red hue to the brown body, beige head. Jaffa Cake like aroma (with the chocolate licked off), caramel and oranges being picked up by my nose. Taste was similar, although it got a little more bitter and drier in the mouth towards the end of each sip.

A brown beer, a head is very big and light beige. Aroma has fruitness with riped notes, spicyness, some anise and sour bread. Taste has strong spicyness and anise, hint of fruitness. Medium bodied, strong carbonation but smoothly. Simple and dominating by strong spicyness of anise.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours murky brown color with large creamy tan-like head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of mild roasted malt, vanilla, spices and dark fruits. Taste starts medium sweet grainy and with mild roasted malt, following is yeasty, fruity and alcoholic, mouthfeel is warming and spicy, while finish is medium herbal bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Good one with interesting Belgian character...
