There are times when you want an easy drinking beer. It’s light, a little hoppy with floral undertones and very quaffable; perfect for setting the world to right with friends.

Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House Folkestone. Clear gold lasting white head. Diacetyl on aroma. Butter throughout. Some citrus hop on the finish. Might be good without the Diacetyl.

Bottle. It’s a hazy, golden-orange colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has some orange notes and generic citrus, with a touch of pale malts. The flavor has a faint bitterness, some orange and citrus, and with a touch of pale malts in the back. It’s full-bodied and quite effervescent on the palate. Semi-sweet. Medium length finish with some bitterness and citrus peel. Not bad this one, just boring. 140228

Cask @ Pie & Ale, Manchester. Had this with a zebra pie, (not much zebra mind) and went down a treat. A pleasant enough ale, a touch on the sweet side with a nice bitterness on the finish. Did the job nicely.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a small head and a full blonde ale fruitiness, maybe a touch dry with slips down the palate with ease.
