Handpull cask at the Dronfield Arms. Straw, clear, with a fair amount of natural carbonation. Thin white head and quite a bit of lacing. Strong scent of lemon juice and grapefruit, not a lot else going on but there doesn’t need to be. Fruity bitter taste which carries on to the finish. Intense and refreshing. A simple sessionable hoppy beer from a consistently good producer.

From cask at In de Wildeman. Clear, golden yellow with almost no head. Fruity-grassy aroma of grapefruit, lemon and pineapple. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity taste of elderflower, grapefruit and lemon, followed by a short, medium bitter finish. Thin to medium body, slightly fizzy mouthfeel, flat. Okay.

Gravity cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2015. Poured a clear straw colour with a bubbly thin white head. The aroma is dry crisp yeast, mineral citrus. The flavour is light bitter, light sour with a light watery grass hop, light spice, light citrus palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lots going on but just too light all round.
