Lots and lots of flavor (pecan and bourbon) to enjoy, not accompanied by too much sweetness and in appearance even a bit watery.

Sampled from the tap at the MKE location. Pours black with a very light brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a combination of pecan and bourbon with sweet dark grains and a touch of vanilla underlying. Flavor also has pecan and bourbon with sweet dark grains and some peanut brittle coming through.

Thanks to Niels-Aage V. for this ?? sweet dark malty with lots of rich chocolate, sweet caramel, getting the roasted pecans on the nose, full bodied, coffee roast, vanilla and bourbon coming together into the sweet malty finish. Gorgeous.

Haven’t had Bendtsen’s kringle in 4-5 years. Kringle is the best dessert in Wisconsin. This stout is really the perfect drink to pair with it. On its own, though, too bourbony for me. Would be keen to try a non-BBA version, or a brandy barrel-aged.
