Bottle. Tangy orange malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange pulp, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body.

Bottle: Hazy yellow-amber with a lacy white head. Grapefruit, lemon aroma. Strong, bright tropicals....grapefruit, lemon, pineapple flavours. Really juicy.....nice peel bittering...very citrusy... Great tasting and crisp feeling.....refreshing....Nice.

Purchased a 22 oz bottle at One Stop Market. Orange / gold in color with steady carbonation. Aroma is mango, grapefruits and a mild floral character.

The flavor starts with a good amount of sweet malt that quickly becomes pine with a herbal hop bitterness. Just the faintest note of grassy hops. Mild Mosaic weed notes. The body is medium with bubbly/ active carbonation tingle over the palate. I got to say this brewer sure can produce great IPA’s, nicely done.

Bottle from Albertsons. As is the norm for Knee Deep, hops rule here. Not quite to the extent of some of their DIPAs, but really big, bold, up front hoppiness. Lightly hazy, nice fluffy head, aroma hints at the hops but favors the malts. Taste and finish are all about the hops, one of KDs best features. Another stellar IPA from this brewery.

Minimally hazy golden liquid is topped by a moderate amount of white head, showing good retention.
Leafy, lush, green hops in the nose slowly divulge stonefruits, dry lychee and juicy herbal qualities. There’s a moderate amount of maltiness in the background creating ample balance without overstepping itself. No alcohol or flaw. Quite sniffable on account of the minimal citrics and low pine. Really a big fan of mosaic, as it’s just so much more unique and complex than most of the other hops running around out there.
Sweetness is felt right away, though it’s chased off somewhat by a big shot of pine-like bitterness. Thankfully, this fades as the finish approaches and leafy, dank, mossy/herbal qualities emerge while the tight carbonation helps keep the finish crisp and the beer drinkable. There’s still a bit more pine from the simcoe (and maybe the CTZ, whatever those are) than I’d like, but the balance is really on-point with the malt, while the mosaics are done beautifully. Will certainly try more from these guys. 7/4/7/4/15

Not nearly as exciting as I remember, seems a bit older and tired, with very little brightness, lots of sharp citrics and more dominant bitterness. Texture was rather thin, watery and there’s a definite sugariness to it. It was also CRYSTAL clear. Seems like an older keg, so I suppose I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and just average the score of the two. 6/3/6/3/12

65cl bottle @ hotel room, San Diego. Bottled 22.7.2015. Aroma has pineapple juice, tropical fruits and gluey notes. Flavour has tropical fruitta pineapples, grapefruit and some gluey tones. Also some resin. Nice.

On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out shitloads of pot-like hops, herbal hops and pine. Flavour is along the same lines, with herbal hops, pot and pine. Just enough malt backing to balance. Fairly abrasive IPA but really well done.
