Tap at Fiddler. Black with creamy dark beige head. Roast, sour red berries, balsamico, soft grassy, ash, toasty malts. Light sweet, medium bitter and sour. Over light bodied. The sourness sort of works, but obviously it’s another off beer from here. Pffff.

On tap at the brewpub as Animal Army Cream Bee. Pitch black, topped with beige head. Roasty malt with some chocolate notes in the aroma. Taste is similar, slightly sweet with decent roastiness. A bit too light on the body and a bit too burnt in the finish. But not that bad.

Sampled from cask at the brewpub. Clear, very dark brown to black with a beige head. Sweetish, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

On tap at the brewpub. Dark ruby-brown pour with a tan head. Smells like caramel, roasted malts, coffee. The taste follows the same notes, with an addition of sweet cherries, subtle scotch whiskey. A bit watery, with a low carbonation.
