With Altra Volta, we start with a fully composed three-year blend of lambic-inspired spontaneous beer well-suited for additional aging and allow for a period of further rest in unique character barrels as inspiration strikes. In recent years we’ve found a steady of source amazing gin barrels (previously used for red zinfandel wine) and opted to finish this special beer in those casks. We find the mellow botanical qualities complement the minerality and gentle acidity perfectly - this particular iteration of Altra Volta puts the drinkable, refreshing side of spontaneous beer on full display!
