Super thick, like deep smoothie, fresh-juiced purple coloured body, almost as viscous as some motor oil, without any head at all, but bright purple and seriously thick, 100 per cent opaque - crazy looking, but FUN! Aroma of very strong fruits with blackberries, blueberries, cherries and a ton of oats, granola and deep malt notes that lend the big body nicely, but the spices hit at the end and perhaps add just as much to the nose as the fruits - this is great in the aroma and a very complex smelling. Full-bodied; Super thick and chunky, malt and definitely fresh-fruit notes with a lot of blackberries, apples, plums, blueberries and some pungent oats and granola notes with some more wheat and a lot of spices at the end from vanilla to canella and a lot of nutmeg noticeable at the finish as well, but these rich fruits are something else, in a great way. Aftertaste shows the fruits front and centre with a lot of spices as well with a smooth, slightly soured and tart note as well, but the lactose, fructose and pungent icing sugar notes dominate here of course, as does the rich malts. Overall, a very nice fruit-based beer that is way more Imperial than I expected, but this is a 'mimosa sour' or a slightly tart, very fruity and super rich beer that is more like a smoothie or fruit juice than a 'beer. This of course reminds me of almost all the beers from Boiler Brewing Company in Lincoln, Nebraska, some of the best beers in the country. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Broughton Street Liqours in Savannah, Georgia on 30-December-2021 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 29-July-2022, a few hours before leaving on Summer Vacation with my wife and kids.
