Very effervescent pink and light copper coloured body with a small, single centimetre, super fast-dying pink head that leaves nothing on top or on the sides, just like a soda or like cider - crisp and clear throughout - not so pleasant looking. Aroma of tart, slightly soured lactobilly and perhaps fruited cherry smells dominate with more of a funky yeast kick in the nose with some mild wheat than anything fruited or pungent here - this is funky throughout, at least in the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp, astringent, effervescent, funky and very bitter malty and wheat qualities come out at first with some yeast and funk further behind, but still not so great with a lot of bitterness and astringency here without anything cooling or tart or rich here, and especially nothing from the fruits. Aftertaste shows a very astringent, bitter and slightly tart note, but the lactobilly, yeast, funky soured and slightly fruited notes are the strongest with a dry bitterness that isn't so great throughout here. Overall, a dry, grainy, lightly funky but very yeastie and bready beer that wants to show sour or tart notes, but unfortunately doesn't and only shows some light cherry earthiness here. This one was a complete miss and while it does show some cherry flavours, this isn't what you expect when buying it nor what you want when you sample it - not worth trying nor buying and i'll probably avoid this brewery in the future. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Wine in Cary (Crossroads Boulevard), North Carolina on 30-May-2021 for US$2,99, with a best by date of 16-July-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-June-2022.
