Very hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a quite large, four centimetre tall tan head that's very large bubbled, but fades slowly. Aroma of citrus fruits, cleanser, slight astringent metals, a dash of grass and hay as well as some sweetness from caster sugar and even some honey. Medium-bodied; Fairly rich malts show at first with some mild wheats as well as some papaya, melon and mango notes that seem to add to the body and still bring out some enjoyable sweetness wtih a soft dry finish and no real hop bitterness at all - this is purely a 'new school' IPA. Aftertaste is fairly clean and easy-drinking with more grassy, dry and herbal elements than anything bitter, but a good fruit bite from the hops, some mild sugars and somehow this is a good thing - no real alcohol warmth or bite at all - this goes down super smoothly! Overall, a very nice Imperial (on the edge, but I'll give it to this one!) IPA that has great flavours, is super 'new school' with no bitterness, but a lot of fruits, a nice balance and smooth and very easy-drinking. Great to sample fresh from Alaska, but on the other side of the country! Sample if you can get it and want it to go down real smoothly! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Brown Jug in Fairbanks, Alaska on 24-June-2021 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-August-2021.
