Super hazy orange coloured body with a bright amber and peach glow with a thick, two to three centimetre tall head on top of the murky body that almost looks like orange juice! Aroma of very strong citrus fruits, grass, alcohol, hay, flowers and a good deal of malts, but nothing too strong or pungent - fairly subdued, considering the punch here. Medium to almost Full-bodied; Aggressive dry and peppery hops show at first with some hay and floral notes, but no real citrusey notes or any sweetness at all - sort of surprising with a moderate amount of malts and some alcohol noticeable, but nowhere close to ten per cent. Aftertaste is relatively clean, with some astringent metal and maltiness, with a lot of dryness from the hops, but more pepper than anything else, and the alcohol shows around eight per cent, not 10 and no sweetness here at all! Overall, fairly decent, very dry and showing a lot of peppery and grassy notes, but nothing New England about this, aside from it being unfiltered; Great to have fresh and a very cool front to the can, but others are better, of course. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's in Virginia Beach (VA Beach Boulevard), Virginia on 13-June-2021 for US$1,99, canned on 18-May-2021, sampled at my house here in Washington on 05-July-2021.
Super, duper beer! Dry, piney. Says New England style, but at close to two months, it's become a classic west coast IPA. The Ghost and humidity do not get on.
