Light to Medium brown coloured body with a thinnish, large-bubbled tan head that caps the beer nicely, but is fairly clear and thin, for what I was expecting. Aroma of yeast, bread, earth, nuts, biscuits, grain and a lot of spice elements with allspice and cloves both here and a touch of syrup noticeable, but more of an artificial Mrs. Butterworth’s than a real maple note. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich maple and syrup quality with a ton of sweetness coming through, but not much malts at all - only a thinnish layer of earthy and slightly biscuity notes with a bit of alcohol at the end. Aftertaste shows the syrup, light maple flavour and some softer biscuity malts with some light nuts and earth as well without much other complexity. Overall, a decent brown ale with a lot of malty notes, syrup, sweetness and spices that shows fairly nicely, but a lot less viscous, complex and complete than I was expecting, but still very nice to try, especially as part of my Advent Calendar - Day #4. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Cary (Crossroads Boulevard), North Carolina on 30-May-2021 for US$4,49 sampled in my hotel room here in New York, New York on 04-December-2021, after the beer escaped from the closed mouth portion of the can, while carrying the suitcase, but most was saved in the can, since the can was upright.
