Very clear, but also ever-so-slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thick, very fast-dying pure white head that's frothy and leaves a pretty nasty lace on the sides. Aroma of yeast, wheat, lactose, cream, germinating grass and hay with a good deal of biscuity notes and a dry kick as well - very strong in the nose, and very lager-y from the yeasts, but still nice! Light to almost Medium-bodied; Rich very grassy and pungent malted barley notes dominate here with a lot of germinating green and almost herbal flavours with a dryness and pungency from bitterness, but only because of the depth of grain and not the strength of the flavours. Aftertaste is fairly crisp, very dry, pretty airy, but robust and dry with a great lager note and a touch of lemons, but absolutely no sugars or complexity - this is a crisp, dry and malty, very bready, doughy and lager yeastie beer that doesn't hide from that, but also doesn't present much else, which is okay, of course. Overall, a nice and dry lager that hits nicely, especially in the summertime or spring, with a great crisp and grassy bite without sweetness or depth, but a good example for the style, nice to sample, even a few days before Halloween, it's still a nice-drinking beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Reston, Virginia on 14-June-2021 for US$2,75 sampled at my house here in Washington on 29-October-2021.
