Tap at the Royston Hotel, Richmond, Melbourne. Poured a murky light brown colour with a frothy off white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, dry floral medicinal hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a malt, light tart grapefruit, dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Another unnumbered one which means it’s a permanent beer and, it seems, different from #005. Bottle, with a clear bottled on date (26/2), thanks. Clear dark amber with a large off-white head that lasts well. Aroma of singed toffee, toast, chocolate, wafty tropical and stone fruit notes. 7+ The prominence of those things is immediately reversed upon a sip - the hops are in the driver’s seat and the fat malty things are a bit obscured. Tropical and some stone fruit, some pepper, bitter oranges.
