Perfectly clear golden and peach coloured body with a very frothy tan head that fades slowly, but starts around seven centimetres tall! Aroma of candy, peaches, stone fruits, cleanser, a dash of pine and some fresh orange juice. Light to Medium-bodied; Very strong peach, tea and orange-y bite at first with a lot of grassy and herbal flavours and a strong bite of pure cleanser with a subdued astringency, but just the flavour itself is deep and one-sided. Aftertaste shows the slight sweetness from the stone fruits, a light herbal and grassy flavour and of course, the soft perfumey and cleanser-y hop bitterness, which isn't large or strong (not many alpha acids here), but it is very distinct. Overall, a decent pure IPA with no gimmicks involved and while I already knew that I didn't like Amarillo much, this was better than I expected it to be. A nice enough beer to try flavour-wise, but the mission and special series makes it that much better! I purchased this just two blocks from the Pentagon - R.I.P Lt Moneymaker! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 01-February-2021 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 05-February-2021, just four days later.
