Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6
Fairly hazy deep pink and ruby coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall light pink coloured head that fades quickly and barely covers the top after a few seconds. Aroma of deep cherries, tart fruits, a light dash of malty and yeastie profile with some light acidic candy and a touch of flowers of hibiscus to add to the tartiness. Light-bodied; Very tart, but super funky, floral and perfumey quality that shows way more of the hibiscus and floral characteristics than the cherry notes and much less of the malts or body than anything else - this is very thin, funky and dry. Aftertaste shows the lighter soured and tart notes, a dash of bitterness and an easy-drinking profile with literally no malts and only a sliver of sweetness, all from the fruits. Overall, a fairly mild and subdued beer that has some tart notes, but not really from the cherries and only a touch of malts make this easy-to-drink, but very simple throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 21-December-2020 for US$3,79 sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-May-2021 in advance of leaving for the weekend here on Memorial Day 2021.
