Fairly hazy, but beautiful orange coloured body with a rich peach glow, all about 90 per cent opaque, with an ugly, large-bubbled and soapy tan head that starts fading fast and leaves a very ugly lace on the sides. Aroma of oranges, dank resin, pineapples, mangoes, grass and a dose of hay, but quite strong, elegant, juicy and tropical. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavours at first with a dry malt note and some very light and subdued fruit-based sugars do come through, with a slight tropical finish, but fairly understated throughout. Aftertaste shows a dry herbal and grassy bite with a dash of bitterness from the alpha acids in the ops, but not too pungent or strong and the alcohol is hidden well, too. Overall, a nice light, but still flavourful IPA that's definitely 'new school' (low bitterness) and reminds me of some of the good, relatively low alcohol Aslin IPAs available around here as well! Nice to try fresh and local! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's in McLean (Tyson's Corner), Virginia on 23-January-2021 for US$1,99, brewed 02-November-2020 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 29-January-2021.
