A new take on our signature flagship! More barley and more El Dorado hops means more alcohol and more BIG citrus, peach, pineapple hop flavor!

Crysal clear deep copper and bronze coloured body with a nice and thick three to four centimetre tall tan head that's microfoamed and stays afloat nicely. Aroma of oranges, tangerines, papaya and some guava with a light dose of malts, some alcohol and a dash of cleanser. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep and sweet, resinous and syrupy bite that shows a good deal of hops and bitterness as well, with noticeable fruit characteristics and a fairly pungent floral and perfumey characteristic, all with a very nice layer and balance of rich malts that blends well with both the sugars and malt. Aftertaste is rich, tropically, pungent, but flavourful in a great way, especially with the sweetness (from resin and fruit) and the balance of malt and hops all nice. Overall, a very enjoyable, real Imperial IPA without too many gimmicks, that just gets the simple things right with a great deal of flavour derived from the tropically hops, with some smooth resinous sweetness that hides the alcohol to some degree. Very nice and great to try super fresh and local - a real winner from the brewery and not a gimmick - nice! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 25-January-2021 for US$3,49, canned at the source on 30-December-2020 (best by 30-March-2021), sampled at my house here in Washington, just a few blocks away on 25-January-2021, the same day.
