Very deep and super hazy pink, copper, bronze, orange and peach coloured body with a very thin, fast-dying off-white head that leaves nothing on top nor on the sides, even after a few seconds from pouring. Aroma of sour, tart, papaya, guava, mango and very tropically fruits with the melony throw-up or 'puke' smell with a light dose of vanilla, a heavier hand of lactose and some slightly funky and bready yeast and malty notes in the nose that dominate. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong, very rich fruity flavours that do show the papaya, guava and especially the mango (richer) notes along with the deeper wheat, malt and bready elements with some dry notes, a dose of vanilla and some alcohol on the tail end, all quite strong, but not showing any passionfruit. Aftertaste shows the fruits front and centre with a lot of tropically notes, a light hit of malts and wheat, but a drier, more pungent malt and yeast element comes at the end that mellows this out some and makes it far less sour, tropical and tart than initially seems. Overall, a very interesting beer that obviously shows the fruits and the tropical notes that you can't get away from, but the malty, wheaty and bready flavours are strong, especially on the end with some vanilla and lactose notes, but this is of course is all about the fruits, and less-so of the sourness. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 24-October-2020 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-February-2021, a few hours before leaving for a tropical (especially in the Winter) destination in Florida.
