Crystal clear golden coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white and tan head with a beautiful peach and orang tint, but fairly light in colour - especially for the style. Aroma of grapefruit, grainy malts, alcohol, resin, pine, flowers, grass and some metallic notes that hit quite hard. Medium-bodied; Biting hop flavours show at first with some balanced malt, a good dose of citrus sweeetness and twang with a dry herbal and grassy bite and a yeast and metallic bite and pungency that is understood for the alcohol at play, but noticeable and quite strong. Aftertaste is rich and showing some nice hoppy flavours, with a dry herbal and grassy bite from the malts that somehow provides a pretty nice balance throughout. Overall, a fairly well-balanced and structured Imperial IPA with a decent set of flavours and an enjoyable citrus flavour with some soft sugars that provide some relief from the high alcohol. Nice to try very fresh and good for the style!
