2019 vintage on tap at the brewery, pours an opaque black, creamy beige head. Nose has licorice, malt, chocolate covered cherries, licorice, some freeze dried ice cream. Flavor is sweet with licorice and molasses, some toasted marshmallow here, raisnette. Finishes full bodied, but pretty damn smooth for 10.3%. I donβt get a ton of barrel either.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has dark fruits, raisin and sweet dark grains with whiskey and a touch of roast underlying. Flavor dark grains and dark fruits with a good amount of whiskey and a touch of roast backing.

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, spicy fruit, oak, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich warm malt, fruity alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
