Tap at the Forester, Melbourne. Poured a murky light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, Belgian yeast, floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a dry yeasty, big hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lots of yeast and bitterness but that’s Belgium I guess!

Bottle. Almost clear gold with a white head that fades to about a coat. Aroma of hay and dough, some peachy and banana notes, coriander, some cloves. And so it tastes - a nice balance of pale doughy/ fruity things and spices. Finish is dryish and moderately bitter. Alcohol is well integrated. Sound and convincing, no magic.
