Half pint from the keg at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with next to no head. Aromas & tastes of toffee, caramel, dried fruits, rum, hints of black pepper, hints of chocolate, bread, yeast & malt. Moderate body. Sweet slightly boozy finish.

A little boozy and bitter. Good malt and dried fruit flavors but drinks a little strong for a dubbel.

Keg at the tap. Dark brown. Opaque. Thinnest beige head. Flavour fruity and gluey. This sums up the whole experience - aroma and flavour. Warming but lightweight.

Keg at Mash Paddle, 24/01/2025.
Deep mahogany brown topped with a light beige head.
Nose is earthy fruit rinds, toffee, sugar dusting, brown bread.
Taste comprises yeast esters, herb, toffee, light spice, dates.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough for the style ... some spice balance and doesn't get sickly sweet as can happen with this style.
