Super hazy straw and light yellow coloured body with a very thick, four to five centimetre tall deep tan head that fades nicely and leaves a good lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of alcohol, dry and herbal hops with a strong resinous note too, with a big hit of malts, oat and wheat. Full-bodied; Very sweet and syrupy notes show at first with a soft kick of stone fruit and some citrus fruits, along with a deep malt backbone, but the alcohol and fairly strong astringency are the big notes here. Aftertaste is pungent, very strong with bitterness, but not from the hops, this is all about the astringency and strength of the sugars and warmth from the alcohol here. Overall, a very strong, incredibly pungent and not terribly balanced beer here. I do want to congratulate the Colorado Avalanche on winning the Stanley Cup [2022] (hard to do as native of Detroit and a Red Wings fan, but those rivalry days are long gone), which is why I'm drinking this beer, but this beer was not worth bringing back from Denver back to the East Coast! Still, nice to try, just once! Good to be back home in the states after a trip with my wife and three kids to Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA, not the best country in the world. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 30-January-2022 for US$5,83 sampled after returning home on 04-July-2022, Independence Day here in our Nation's Capital - Washington, after overlooking those fireworks over this fine city in THE best country in the world!
