Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a large creamy off white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, molasses, dark fruits, wood and cherry. The flavor was tangy and bitter with notes of caramel, molasses, wood, cherry and tobacco. Very long finish. Full bodied. Alcohol well contained. Well done.
