Super deep and hazy bright ruby coloured body with a light blood coloured glow and a thinnish off-white head that fades very quickly of course, but the look is great, even for a graft product (which is saying a lot!). Aroma of super fresh cranberries, pungent spices of canella, nutmeg, star anise, cardamom and especially ground ginger - very strong in the nose with some apples and a bunch of sugars here as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong cranberry and very tart fruit flavours show at first that bring out a dryness and light effervescence, but the spices hit hard afterwards with the ginger front and centre and the light canella and stronger star anise on the finish, but the balance of tartness, spice and fruit seems almost perfect, especially if you are having this from Thanksgiving to New Year's! Aftertaste shows the very deep spice notes in almost a perfect combination with the tart apples and the relatively subdued sweetness, especially at the end, but the balance is struck right with a great deal of complexity from everything in this can. Overall, a great cider to have, especially at this time of the year, but I had it in summertime and it was still great, or perhaps even better (to remind me of the 'most wonderful time of the year'!). I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom, Eye Street NW), D.C. on 24-November-2021 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington, a few blocks away on 17-August-2022.
