Canned from Giant - because it's Giant. Brownish amber not much head cinnamon, pumpkin etc pretty good honestly. And usually on sale at Giant
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7
Deep dark amber and light brown coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white and tan head that stays afloat nicely and leaves a thin layer on top after a few minutes. Aroma of light allspice, canella, coriander seed and a good kick of nuts and earth with a lot of dry and rustic scents, too. Light to Medium-bodied; Rich pumpkin and squash flavours show up at first with a nutty and rustic quality, without much richness, somehow, but the spice notes are strong in a good way with some canella, coriander seed and allspice here as well that shows a little sweetness at the end from caramelised sugars. Aftertaste shows a nice robust quality with the pumpkin flavours, but no richness or deep notes along with a light spicey and rustic nuttiness, but a soft sweetness and easy-going finish. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer that has a good deal of flavours and complexity that is still easy-drinking and local, making this nice to sample, especially still in the season! I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from Giant Food in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 31-October-2022 for US$9,99/four pack, that launched 'into orbit' on 24-June-2022 and sampled while on the train to New York on 01-December-2022 with my wife and kids.
