Ride the Tide is a perfect representation of East meets West, expressed in a harmony of color, aromatics, and flavor. A simple malt bill gives a true-to-style hazy body and creamy mouth-feel, while a blend of fragrant hops impart notes of tropical, citrus, and pine aromas. The yeast strain used produces an opaqueness with complex fruity esters typical to the East Coast style. Remember, when life ebbs and flows just ride it out and something good will always come along.

Super deep copper and amber coloured body that's ever so slightly hazy, all with a nice, frothy tan head, three centimetres tall that's microfoamed and caps the beer nicely. Aroma of candy, stone fruit, caramelised sugars, toffehere. Me and a good amount of resinous hops with some tropical scents as well, but the malt and alcohol are hidden well in the nose. Medium to almost Full-bodied; Rich sweetness and especially stone fruits in the flavour up front that then bring out a very nice crisp and robust malt balance and bite with some smoother sweetness on the end and a dash of dry and floral aspects as well, with a kick of bitterness from the alpha acids at the tail end. Aftertaste is very rich, pretty well-balanced with some alcohol burn at first, then a nice level of sweetness from the stone fruits followed by a kick of bitterness from the alpha acids in the hops and finishing with a candy-like flavour and a touch of dryness. Overall, a nice IPA that's imperial-ish, but layered with flavours that are never cloying or pungent, but do show good complexity and range. Great to have super fresh and hyper local - a good IPA option, for sure! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco in Alexandria, Virginia on 21-September-2021 for US$2,69, canned on 03-September-2021 with the tagline 'Tubular Man' and sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-September-2021.
