23/4/2025. Cask pour shared by Colin, cheers. Pours a little unclear dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is toasted, caramel, malty, cocoa dusting, dried fruits. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with some odd tangy tartness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Light drying finish. Fair.

Nose is dried fruit rinds, tobacco brown bread, sharp fruits.
Taste comprises earthy fruit rinds, biscuit, fruit slice, light tang.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Think this one has been on a touch too long ... their own pub ... should do better!

Handpull cask at Drink Valley Old Town, Swindon. Ruby mid-brown, clear with a ring of beige head. Big malty aroma, hints if dark caramel and chocolate. Bittersweet taste, light fruity notes among the hop. Sweet and jammy with a touch of bitterness in the finish. A little like 6X but better.
