Mostly clear golden coloured body with a slight tint of copper, all without much head at all - a thin off-white head starts the beer but fades almost immediately. Aroma of grass, light grain, some subtle alcohol and sweet notes and very little else - mellow fruits that show the hops as well perhaps. Light to just about Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavours of the hops at first with a dose of light citrus and more crisp, vibrant hop notes with a light bitterness from the hops, but the malt is very nice and incredibly clean - I wouldn't have known this was grits/cornmeal at ll, but it worked out nicely with these hops. Aftertaste is very crisp, clean and showcasing the hops much more than the malt, but in a good way with grassy and floral notes the strongest and a subdued but noticeable bitterness. Overall, a nice and enjoyable IPA that shows the characteristics of an IPA but a lightness and easy-to-drink profile of a Light IPA - nice and well worth trying to find if you like IPAs, prefer them a bit higher alcohol than a Light IPA and have to deal with the heat in the summertime down South at all! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Good Bottle Company in Charlotte, North Carolina on 09-May-2018 for US$3,25 sampled at home in Washington on 22-May-2018.
