No idea if red rice is related to red bean paste but that's what I'm reminded of. Red bean ice cream and such. Sweet but not overly, really red bean flavored.

F: big, white, average retention. C: deep gold with red hue, bit hazy. A: fruity with some smoky tones, caramel, bready, floral. T: malty, some rice tones, low bitterness, bit caramel, bready, sweet herbal, medium body and carbonation, bit oily mouthfeel, this is not my thing bit too messy combination yet not so bad, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.

26/8/2018. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours cloudy amber red with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel, rice wine, hops, wood, sour strawberry, citrus and leather. Medium plus sweetness, medium bitterness, light sour notes. Medium body, slight creamy texture, bit above average carbonation.

One of this Japanese brewer's creations, a 'red rice' beer, sampled at Gents Bierfestival (thanks Craftmember for sharing). Snow white, moussy, large-bubbled, opening head on a clear, deep golden blonde beer. Aroma of moist cigarette tobacco, ripe pear, melon, some DMS, rice milk, peanuts. Sweetish onset, lots of apple and banana, medium carb, bit glueish mouthfeel probably coming from the rice; sweet caramelly malt body with a smoky accent retronasally as well as soft spicy hints, but remaining low in bitterness. Some warming 'end alcohol' is noticeable which shouldn't be the case at this ABV. Not impressed, in spite of the interesting premise.
