Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is roasty caramel malt, medicinal, alcohol. The flavour is light sweet, liqourice alcohol bitter with a dry rich, roasty, oily, oaky, liquorice alcoholic bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with an oily mouthfeel.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light acidity, a bit infected? In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with light peated notes, light alcohol warmth, very nice and smokey. On tap at 100 Garden location.

On tap at Furbrew, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out harsh roasted malt, some oak and alcohol. Flavour is along the same lines, with fairly harsh roasted malt, light oak, light bourbon and alcohol. Never been a fan of stouts with bourbon soaked oak chips and this is no exception. It's a fun, bold beer, but lacking complexity and elegance. Okay.
