Easily my favorite beer that these guys have made to date. Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet and a bit tart with fairly strong candied dark fruits and caramel. The flavor was tangy and tart with prominent notes of cherry and toffee and light undertones of tobacco and wood. The finish was long with tart cherries, wood and toffee lingering. Fairly full bodied. The alcohol was well concealed. Excellent.
