Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s in Pittsburgh this beer poured a very dark brown color with a large foamy beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dryish, roasty and woody. The flavor was woody, roasty and dry with notes of gritty espresso and faint fruity hops. The finish was long, dry and woody with lingering coffee. Fairly full bodied. Solid.
