Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Man Landing on the Moon, Florida Beer Co. brews a beautifully well balanced Kölsch to honor mankind's Giant Leap. This wonderfully expressive soft style ale brings the crisp clean finish associated with a lager style. Brewed with a small amount of wheat and delicately hopped with Centennial and Cascade hops this beer is highlighted with the additions of natural pineapple and grapefruit, signifying a nod to the astronauts first shared pineapple-grapefruit drink upon landing on the moon.

Draft at Mr. Brews Taphouse. Clear gold color with a white head and fair retention. No lacing. There is a lemon/lime citrus flavor (not pineapple) that's not typical for a kolsch. I like it, but it's breaking the style. Light body. Low carbonation. Clean and smooth and refreshing summer beer.
