1/VI/25 - on tap @ Artisan (Rome, IT), BB: n/a (2025-502)

Clear orange blond beer, small yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty start, grains, a bit rubbery, sweet impression, caramel, oxidized, somewhat chemical touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, pretty dry, a bit herbal, dusty, pretty oxidized, doesn’t taste fresh at all to me. This is the opposite of why I drink beer on tap… Aftertaste: sweet malty touch, bitter, chemical, some burned rubber, dry, a bit resinous, more oxidation, nope, big disappointment this one. All the beers at Artisan so far (3) are very disappointing, and I get the feeling it’s because they’re all not very fresh anymore. That’s not why I go out of my way trying to find interesting craft beer pubs.
