49cl can from CS Fresh in Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore. Head is medium, tanned, average retention. Colour is dark, opaque. Aroma is rosted tones, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is medium malty base, rosted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, dry on the palate, soft carbonation, ok.

MAL trip: day 5/12 - The Brewhouse in Taiping, Perak, a draught pint. Aroma: coffee and dark chocolate. Appearance: opaque cola, one finger tan head, noticeably creamy and inviting. Palate: light-bodied and creamy, softish carbonation; finish is fleeting and roasty. Not over-chilled, which is a credit to the bar in this climate. Taste: lightly sweet with plenty of malt loaf, a bit of coffee but chocolate doesn’t really come through. Pleasantly refreshing on the day, but ultimately rather watery.

Can shared at Razvan's mega millions tasting. Clear dark brown with creamy beige head. Soft cocoa, earthy, cardboard, soft licorice, blackberries, dry almond, burnt sugar. Under medium sweet and bitter. A bit watery. Actually the aroma is not too bad even though it's watery.

Pint on tap at Dingyang, Changi. As 'Connor's Stout Porter'. Black beer with crema on top. Hoppy macro nose. Good body, nice smooth texture. Surprisingly sweet considering the nose. Very drinkable.I was expecting much worse from a Malaysian Stout brewed by a Danish company using a Union Jack and an Irish name for marketing.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is nutty, some wooden, mild berries, coffee and some toast. Flavour is pretty much following the same pattern, but coffee is a bit more evident than in the aroma.
