Tap at the Stomping Ground beer hall, Melbourne. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is sweet malt, tropical fruit, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a fresh, crisp fruity dry light biscuit malt, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. An English bitter is by its very nature 'bitter'. There is no sweetness in an English bitter and this is far from being typical of the style. Having said that, it wasn't a bad ale at all!
