Tap at the Birmingham Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is cardboard malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light, watery, dry cardboard hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Really unexciting. Never again. Some brewer, somewhere in the world is in hiding because of this beer!

A Sydney icon. A real session beer. More palatable than other macrobrews. Nice head, good lacing. If you are in Sydney try it on tap. Quite difficult to find anywhere else in NSW.

Draught in Jindabyne. Clear golden, small head. Cellary, ashy Pride of Ringwood aroma. Sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. Plenty of boiled vegetables and some sharp resiny bitterness is it’s most prominent features. Apart from being wet it’s pretty void of anything I like in beers.

Clear yellow color, short white head. Nothing special about this pale lager. I prefer other pale lagers in Australia.
