Kyoto Beer Lab Five Years Cheers In Beers Barleywine 13% Lovely reddish brown color with a wisp of beige foam. Aggressively huge sharp malty sweet aroma with some heat foreshadowing the big ABV. BIG malt with candied fruits, figs and plums, then some heat but the finish has a surprising but really nice nutty element to it. Full bodied but ultra smooth. You do get some warmth in your stomach but otherwise that big ABV is completely hidden. This makes it a slightly dangerous brew. Dead easy to drink. Happy Anniversary!
