This year’s version (2018) is Baeren Peated 7.5%: The peated Ale was last brewed in 2011 and is a dark brown verging on Black with a thick beige head that leaves a beige film behind. The nose is peat earthy and somewhat pungeant. Medium bodied with lots of smoke and peat with the finish giving caramel mixed in with the smoke. I’m not a fan of the iodine/peat smoke element but this pretty smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
