Banged up for a sentence behind oak bars, that is what we have done to our award winning Stout. We love extreme beers at Anarchy, and no better way to add another flavour dimension to an already quality beer, ‘Sublime Chaos’, than to barrel age it. Whether it’s a Pinot Noir, Whisky, or Bourbon barrel, the sentence lasts for up to 12 months. Oak, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, vanilla and of course the flavours from the barrel are infused, then we carbonate naturally in the bottle with yeast for the ultimate beer porn session.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. the aroma is roasty malt, bourbon alcohol. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet with a rich, oily, malt, dry, warm boozy bourbon palate and a lingering alcoholic bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ Cotteridge Wines. Almost black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, wood and bourbon. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Oily, soft and smooth. 270717

Bottle @ Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich bourbon, vanilla, fruits, roast malt, chocolate and hops. Sweet bourbon finish.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is toffee, vanilla, oak, leather, chocolate, taste is chewy toffee, vanilla, chocolate, light roasted malts.
