Beer Archa thus serves as another alternative for beer drinkers.

33cl can in Bangkok. Light golden colour with a white head. Lightly matly with just a hint of bitterness. The usual South-East Asian lager. Quite boring, but also quite drikable in the heat when it’s served ice cold!

A pale blonde lager with a super thick white head. A soapy mineral malt aroma, grassy. In mouth, a chalky mineral water with sweet corn grits, light solventy notes, not very good. Can bought from 7-11 near my hotel, 25 B.

Joah... 7/7/7/7/9/7

Can (thanks to a workmate for bringing this back from Thailand!). Yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some mild grains, mild rice as well as some slight strange bitterness. Flavour is sweet grains, mild malts and rice along with some mild bitterness. Easy to drink and not all that bitter, even though there is some slight bitterness.

Clear golden body with a thinnish, fast-dying white head. Aroma of corn, malt & metal. Light-bodied; Assertive corn and cereal flavour with a touch of rice and subtle metal. Aftertaste is relatively mild, only showing some malt and metal, with no real harsh flavours - less bitter than Chang. Overall, a typical Thai lager, but perhaps a bit better than some (Chang), and not as good as Singha. I sampled this 640 mL bottle purchased earlier today at 7-11 in Karon Beach, Phuket, Thailand sampled here on the island on 15-August-2010.
