Draught Chestnut-brown beer, red-shot, under a tight dense cream-beige head. Munich cark malts, chocolate, cacao powder, sweet, dark bread. Dry, nearly woody, but still bready flavours - sweetness near gone. Autumn leaves. Light to medium bodied, very slick. Really decent dunkles, not too sweet. Tasted at the Paulaner Brauhaus @ Kapuzinerplatz - brewed exactly where?

500 ml bottle, from Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.0%. Fairly dark reddish brown colour, big to moderate beige head. Aroma of brown bread / bakery, some caramel. The flavour is fairly malty with notes of caramel and brown bread, not too sweet, a hint of "dusty" hops in the finish. Pleasant to drink.

Malty, toasty taste with dark fruit, dark bread and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, fairly sweet. Decent but a tad boring.

Bottle from Le Jardin de Bière, St Just Luzac, France. Ruddy brown in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweet caramel, prunes and dates with some doughy malts and syrupy finish. One dimensional.

Bottle. An amber beer, clear as can be, and topped by a small and rapidly disappearing off-white head. Toffee, some dms and a hint of dried fruits in the aroma. Too weak. Not very pronounced flavor either, caramel and hay doing most of the job. Medium body with too much carbonation, quite dry. The finish has a decent bitterness to balance the caramel. Boring, but sure drinkable. 100423

Draught yesterday at the Paulaner tent at the Rujanfest in Zagreb. I reckon this is it. Brownish red body, small white head that went away relatively fast. Grainy malty nose. Sweet fruity maltiness falling somewhere between cooked plums and chocolate, clean and balanced but dull. No hop? Grainy aftertaste. Ok enough, can be called good, but doesn’t push my buttons.
