Clear pale yellow beer, small aery irregular white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: in the bottle: sweet, floral, honey. In the glass: very spicy, dirty, rotten grains, malts, hay, sugary touch, marzipan. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty spicy start, coriander but not just that, dry, bit soapy, some citrus, lots of yeast. Aftertaste: bitter touch, bit fruity, yeast, some citrus, orange peel, bit watery, spicy, nutmeg.

Fairly fresh, sweet, loads of citra. Dense for a wit. Not bad at all!

Appearance: opaque straw colour, little foam and carbonation. Aroma: very estery and yeasty, very fruity and banana and very refreshing. Flavour: very refreshing and fruity, estery, banana, quite mild. Nice wit.

This has been one of my favorite white ales for a very long time. I can remember drinking about 8 U.K. Pints one time at a British pub in Tokyo. Rated offline years ago but need to revisit. Lovely soapy nose with oranges and a touch of ginger. Smooth mouth with lots of soapiness, ginger and chamomile.

Bottle. Cloudy pale yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is spices, wheat, herbal notes, nutmeg. Taste is yeasty, citrus, spicy, cloves, coriander, somehow even some saltiness. Bitter and dry finish. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. A good witbier, unusual but good, and refreshing.

Bottle from waitrose. A very surprising beer and I’m not sure who could do a better white ale. It wasn’t sweet at all which was very refreshing. Flavour profile isn’t massive but definitely a great example of a white ale. (Pre ratebeer) --- Bottle from Waitrose. Sweet Appley aroma. Cidery appearance. Heavy notes of sake in this. Uncanny how similar. Some gentle notes of corriander and lemon as you'd expect but also a little rough bitterness of coffee in the very end. 4 to 3.6.
