French Saison.
With Pilsner, Pale, Munich 10, and Vienna malt taking the wheel this is a very light and crackery base beer. The star of the show is the French Saison Yeast. This yeast adds all of the spicy, citrus, and sometimes pepper flavors. Being highly active the French Saison yeast eats almost all of the sugars making this a very dry and clean drinker despite the higher ABV.

Half goblet draft at Transparent Brewing Company in Grandview, Missouri. The pour is a clear golden with a well formed one inch white foamy head that is lasting. The aroma is clove, honey, herbal and general Saison yeast. The taste is big initially with the yeast, followed by honey malt, the drying straw and herbal that lingers well past the finish. The palate is medium to heavier bodied with lower carbonation and the honey herbal lingering. Very much an American style Saison.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is fruity yeast esters with some powdered sugar. Flavor is a more fruity perfume ester with a bone dry chalky malt. A little bitterness is left on the tongue after the swallow. Nice profile of this saison yeast.
