Panda thanks to Cloin. Just a light haze on this slightly dirty amber beer, small and short lived pale tan head. Light smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth caramel malts, not that sweet. Punchy red wine, red berries and a light Geuzey vibe that is softened by a little oak induced vanilla. More vinous fruits and some alcohol spice on the airy finish. Not exactly the shy retiring type of barleywine, big bold flavours, mostly from the barrel. Nice one!

Bottle split on 832/813 to Stanhope, picked up from the Magnet in Broadstairs, 05/04/2025.
Deep amber topped with a light beige cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is sticky toffee, booze tunes, oak, red wine notes, stewed fruits.
Taste comprises fruit cake, dried red berries, mellow barrel, vinous, toffee melt.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid.
