Pitch black with a good sized lasting dirty gold flecked tan head.
Nose is dark malts, molasses, spice, booze tunes, toffee, chocolate shaving.
Taste comprises dark malts, light roast, hint of salt, chocolate, charr, fruit cake mix.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with a balanced boozey bite.
Tidy old skool leaning sipper.

Near opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Palate is fairly smooth and slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation coming through late on. Rich dark malts, syrupy dark chocolate, chocolate liqueur. Salted caramel fairy strong on the back end, not that sweet. Some dark fruits just before the reasonably light finish. Some mild gum numb from the hefty abv but not particularly hot. Good fun.

Fles gedeeld door met Mimi, Roel, Rik, Tessa en Guus. Het is een pikzwart bier met een bruinig schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en chocolade. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, chocolade, karamel en een hint zout en drop in de afdronk.

Bottle at ash's. Pours black, nose is chocolate, caramel, nutty, taste is sweet toffee, caramel, chocolate, bitter finish. 8/8/7/7/7

On tap at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Nose is dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, raisin, touch of smoke. Taste is dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, smoke, caramel, raisin. Rich smoky sweet finish. Lovely!

Bottle from De Kamper Slijter. Caramel and chocolate with dark malt, some roast and coffee. Medium sweet, light bitter, alcohol is hidden fairly well. Medium to full body, salty caramel finish.
