Bright, zesty, and made for summer, Gap Year pours a pale, almost milky yellow. Intense aromas of slightly underripe pineapple, lemongrass and lime squeezed over the top, balanced by a touch of starburst candy sweetness and a floral lift from lemon thyme.

Light and dry and easy drinking, with citrus taking centre stage: lemon, lime, and a gentle body that helps the flavours linger. A moderate, well-integrated bitterness rounds it out, leaving your mouth refreshed and ready for another sip.

Hops: Citra, Simcoe, and Motueka Cryo.

11/6/2025. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours murky dark mustard gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is dank, hoppy, tropical, citrus, piney, touch herbal. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Didn’t look great but was good.

44cl can, BB 10/10/2025.
Pâle sur un léger voile, col blanc.
Arôme est bien parfumé, pas mal de notes d’agrumes dont le pamplemousse avec un léger effet de pin, retrait haze délicat.
Palais est plaisant avec un effet ‘punchy hops’ frais sur les agrumes, léger cote résineux – agrumes avec une pointe de citronnelle thaï, léger citron vert. Haze en retrait avec une petite rondeur de l’avoine, touche rappelant l’effet ‘candy’, finement terreux et herbacé.

Can in the Grande Real Villa Italia, Cascais, from OKasional online, 01/05/2025.
Hazed lighter shade of orange golden topped with a lasting white head.
Nose is bitter orange, green berry twang, grass, papaya, lime nip.
Taste comprises bitter citric shreds, light stone fruit, guava, melon, grass, pine needle, dank spike.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close peppered with juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Tidy hop shizzle.
